GASP is an after school program serving students of Grattan Elementary School in San Francisco. We provide a fun and engaging work environment where staff create a fun, safe, and engaging learning environment for students.
We are seeking K-5 Program Teachers and Special Ed 1-on-1 Student Support Staff. A Program Teacher is responsible for active supervision of children in shared spaces, curriculum planning, implementation and providing a fun and active learning environment for students.
Job Title: Program Teacher
Under the supervision of our Site Directors, the After School Program Staff support the daily management of the program.
Daily Schedule
Monday, Tuesday & Thursday - 1:45pm-6:00pm
Wednesday - 12:30pm-6:00pm
Friday - 12:15pm-6:00pm
Duties Include
Active supervision of children;
Lesson planning and implementation of recreation, enrichment and academic activities daily;
Providing a physically and emotionally safe learning environment, maintaining facilities, equipment and supplies;
Any other duties as assigned to ensure the safe and smooth operation of the program.
Compensation: $23 - $29 per hour
Qualifications
18 years old or older
High School Diploma or equivalent
At least one year experience working with children (preferably more)

Job Title: SPED 1 on 1 Support Staff
With the support of the Site Directors, the 1-on-1 staff
Job Type: Part-Time
We are looking for people with experience working with children with special needs to support children during our after school program.
The schedule is generally the same as for the Program Teacher position. However, as this position is assigned to a specific child, actual working hours vary based on when the assigned child attends and is picked up each day from the program.
Duties include
Provide direct supervision and support to your assigned child while they are on campus to maintain physical and emotional safety;
Assist the assigned child in play, socialization and behavior modification as needed;
Provide any other support to the assigned child as needed.
Compensation: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Qualifications
18 years old or older
High School Diploma or equivalent
3 years experience working in a professional capacity with child populations with special needs at a school site (required)
Preferred Registered Behavior Technician Certification
