Enrichment at GASP
As an After School Program, GASP has the opportunity to provide fun, enriching, and engaging activities for students to help them expand their horizons and to create interest-based learning opportunities. At GASP, we believe that kids learn best when they are engaging in activities that are stimulating and of interest to them, as well as when they challenge their conceptions of what is possible for them. We strive to provide activities and projects that teach new skills, develop students’ sense of self-awareness, and positively grow their interests to help foster a greater understanding of their potential. Examples of this can include several types of arts and crafts projects, writing activities, math games, and more. Enrichment activities at GASP focus on the principle of growth mindset, which helps students cultivate their sense of self-efficacy by teaching that mistakes are a natural part of the learning process, and that facing challenges are necessary for growth in every aspect of life.
